Julie Nathanson inquired about the Howard family in Marlow. She said:
Thomas Howard was b. 1755 in New London, CT and died in Marlow, NH 23 Aug 1842. That info came from the Gazetteer of Cheshire Co. Thomas married Hannah Beckwith b. 1762; d. 14 May 1801 (both Marlow) Her parents were Abel and Lucy (Calkins).
According to same, all his children were born in Marlow. I descend from Nathan b. 18 Nov. 1782. I do not have a death date or location for him.
Any documents for either families would be great. The Howard line is a stronger line for me..... I descend from Thomas>Nathan>Americus>Emory>Alice May (who was my great grandmother)
We were able to locate these Howard graves in the West Yard Cemetery:

To find the West Yard Cemetery, follow Route 123 N out of town past the old Town Pound. About half a mile or so on the right, find Gustin Pond Road. Follow that for several miles until you have passed Gustin Pond on the right. Soon you will come to Jay Allen Road on your right. West Yard Cemetery is just a few feet down that road and well-marked by a sign.

Ladies,
Thank you so much for all your help with my recent visit to Marlow. Loisanne, the packet of information you prepared is terrific. With Mary's expert directions, I was able to find the cemetery on Jay Allen Rd. Thankfully she had included a hint about the location of the graves, because the names were covered over with lichen.....
My drive to Walpole was uneventful, but I was thankful for the info on the flood damage. There were many places where the damage was still evident.
The folks at Walpole were very helpful. I was able to locate land records, tax records and graves for the Hooper family I was interested in. I even was fortunate they had a portrait of Dr. Foster Hooper who is a 4th gr-grandfather of mine.
A very eventful day. Thanks again.
